| Camp is so much fun. Potosi isn't much of a town but they do have
more stuff than back home. Sonic ice is awesome. I've
currently got a girlfriend so we'll see how long that last once the
summer is over and we're over 15 hours apart. If you get bored,
feel free to email me at kirksey.11@tamu.edu. I'll respond.
Or you could send mail to Stephen Kirksey, YMCA Camp Lakewood, 13528
State Hwy AA, Potosi, MO. Getting mail at camp is fun and I
don't really get any so that'd be awesome.

| - Get Over Yourself -
Random thing grabbed from strange_yumor's Xanga:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the sentence in your weblog along with these instructions
5. Don't search for the coolest book; only the one closest to you.
"It's happened to me a couple of times." from The Skystone by Jack Whyte
I figured that the
above was as good a way to start this back up as any. It's been
awhile but seeing as I'll be away all summer. It looks like using
this might be the best way to keep in touch with what's
happening. I'm not gauranteeing frequent updates but I'll drop a
line every now and then.

| If you have the chance to miss school to go on an 11-day road trip, do
it. I know you're probably worried about class and all but just
think of all the national parks you could visit. I mean we went
through 6 and that was with spending 4 days in Reno and another night
in Las Vegas. That's all I really have for now.
RECAP: Be cool. Miss school.

| Just an update on my sucky Thursday. I go out to The Hall to go
dancing and make it almost to the door when everyone is informed that
the doors are clsoed. As of right now, I have 30 minutes left of
this crappy day and then it will all be over and behind me.

| - "Your Winter" by Sister Hazel - - - -
Well, I had just written a long entry for today describing my day and
how it started out great but then turned bad. In the process, I
accidently hit the back button in my browser. I guess I can't
really blame Wednesday for all the bad since it all happened after
midnight. This Thursday sucks. Maybe I shouldn't go dancing
tonight, although I sure could use the escape from everything happening
if the rest of my Thursday keeps going at the rate it is right
now. I mean it seems to me that something would happen to ruin it
all unless I wait to head out there until after midnight in which case
it would be Friday and my day of crap would be over. Maybe I
shouldn't even wake up till midnight and save myself the trouble of
what will probably be my tomorrow. I had written in my deleted
entry about the good things that happened to me so I guess I can recap
those so I don't end on such a negative note since I haven't had an
entry in so long.
So here go the good things that happened that I can remember.
Phil trying his best to keep me from getting towed. Thanks for all the
effort even the results weren't as well as we had hoped. Justin
loaning me the rest of the money to pay the drop fee since it had to be
in cash. You're a life-saver. There's no telling how much I
would have had to pay if they had towed it plus the hassle of getting
to their lot. Katie Bearden checking up on me when she got home
even though I wasn't too nice to her. I still need to apologize
for my weird trait where I get upset when people apologize for things
they have no control over. I know you were just trying to be nice
and caring but it's not exatcly what I usually want when I have a bad
day. I guess I need to work on that. Anyway, back to the
good things that happened. Sniffles gave me my iced tea for free
at dinner. Sorry that we didn't wait for you to call Katy before
we went and got ice cream but we thought you had forgotten us.
And last but definitely not least, Katie Fay for spending most of the
day with me. I know we didn't really do much in terms of a movie
or bowling or something like that but I had the best day I have had in
awhile talking while we were just sitting in your room and looking at
your Germany pictures or walking around campus or driving around
town. Aaron, just in case you are reading this. I still
might get that award after all.
After realizing how much I just wrote there, I guess my day wasn't so
bad after all. I guess I need to just focus on all the positives
instead of the big negative. There was only one way that the day
could have been better but that will have to wait till later. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
